It is ideal for light therapy, office work, reading, creative work, video calls, and content creation. It is also tested to Medical Safety Standard EN/IEC 60601-1.
When it’s dark, our body is triggered to produce more Melatonin, the sleep hormone, as nature’s way of settling us down to rest and recharge. If we are deprived of sunlight, our body can overproduce this hormone, leaving us feeling sleepy and groggy at the wrong time of day. Introducing bright light helps suppress this excess Melatonin and increase the production of our mood-balancing hormone, Serotonin, giving us a natural boost of energy and positivity.
1 in 4 people in the world will be affected by a mental or neurological disorder at some point in their lives. Today, around 450 million people suffer from a mental health condition, with many suffering from more than one. With an increasing number of people suffering from depressive moods and lethargy due to lack of sunlight, Daylight has invested in research to develop its light therapy range. While light therapy for non-seasonal depression isn’t meant to cure it, it has been proven to ease symptoms, increase energy levels, improve moods, and help people feel better overall.
